Jewish Family & Children’s Service, a local human services nonprofit, announced two new board members.

Analise Ortiz and Peter Moraga were confirmed during the organization’s December board meeting and each will serve a three-year term.

“Jewish Family & Children’s Service is where it is today thanks in large part to volunteer leaders who give their time and expertise selflessly and to improve the community we all call home,” Dr. Lorrie Henderson, president and CEO of JFCS, shared in a press release. “As the latest additions to our board, Analise and Peter will contribute distinct perspectives to our organization.”

Ortiz is the founder of Ortiz Communications, a communications consulting firm where she leads clients’ strategies including social media management, media relations and campaign strategy development. She was also elected in November 2022 to serve in the Arizona House of Representatives to represent District 24 comprising Maryvale and Glendale.

Moraga is a senior client executive at Experian and is responsible for account development and growth for Experian's Strategic Partners across business information, financial services, and startups entering the consumer credit space.

They join current board members chair Janice Dinner, vice chair Edward Ober, secretary Pam Meyer, Susan Hirshman, Jevin Hodge, Carol Kern, Jennifer Kirshner, Karen Owens, Michael Seiden, Meghan Shapiro, immediate past chairman Dr. Paul E. Stander, Dr. Tamara Zach, and emeritus board members Lenore Schupack, Carol Seidberg, and Edna Sitelman.
