House of Refuge announces next Gala date

House of Refuge, Inc., has set the date for its Sixth Annual Gala: The AACT Night of a Million Dreams, presented by AZ Quality Services & Staffing and Amazon, for Saturday, April 13, 2024.

The event will be held at The DoubleTree by Hilton, 1011 W. Holmes Ave., Mesa.

The Gala is the agency’s largest fund-raising event of the year. Events will include a cocktail hour, a gourmet dinner, live and silent auctions, a gift card frenzy, a wine and bourbon bottle pull, and entertainment.

The evening will see friends and colleagues coming together to help homeless families rebuild their lives.

The House of Refuge transitional housing program serves more than 450 individuals in 140 homeless families a year – most are single mothers and survivors of domestic violence. Each has their own individual story of trauma and loss, as well as their own hopes and dreams.

“The one dream that they all share is graduating from our program into stable housing of their choice, and never being homeless again,” House of Refuge President and CEO Kayla Kolar said in a release. “Everyone supporting the Gala plays a role in making those dreams come true.”

Tickets are priced at $200 each. Limited Silver, Bronze, and Specialty sponsorships are available, and donations of prizes and auction items are still needed.
