Greenway closed at Grand, Litchfield this weekend

Drivers can expect restrictions this weekend on Greenway Road at the intersections of both Grand Avenue (US 60) and Litchfield Road for improvement work.
US 60 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction at the intersection of Greenway Road from 9 p.m. Friday, May 5 through 9 p.m. Sunday, May 7, for resurfacing work. Additionally, Greenway Road will be closed at US 60.

As a detour, consider using the Grand Avenue frontage road or Thompson Ranch Road/Santa Fe Drive, and allow extra travel time. Motorists can access Greenway Road east of the US 60 from Santa Fe Drive or Thompson Ranch Road. Travelers can access Greenway Road west of the US 60 by traveling along the Grand Avenue frontage road.
Additionally, the intersection of Greenway Road and Litchfield Road will close at 9 p.m. Friday and reopen at 5 a.m. Monday. This intersection is also anticipated to be closed Saturday, May 13 from 3 a.m. to 3 p.m. for utility work.
This work will correct a dip in the intersection and complete the final phase of the Greenway Road Improvement Project. Last summer, the city completed the widening portion of the Greenway Road project between Litchfield Road and Bullard Avenue; the project also included landscaped medians, drainage improvements and sidewalks.
