Glendale police seek suspected arsonist in apartment fire

Glendale police believe a man is responsible for a fire that occurred at a local apartment complex Monday afternoon, a spokesman stated in an email.

At about 12:30 p.m. March 6, the Glendale Fire Department responded to a fire at the Rossmore Apartments in the area of 6100 N. 61st Avenue.

Sgt. Waite stated witnesses reported seeing a Hispanic male running east from the apartment complex. He was wearing a red shirt and jeans.

Officials located a gas can at the scene, Sgt. Waite stated.

Glendale crews extinguished the fire with no one occupying the apartment at the time.
