Police lightsGlendale police identified the bodies of two people found dead in a home while Phoenix officers attempted to serve a search warrant, according to a release.

On Saturday, April 8, Phoenix SIU was attempting to serve a search warrant at a home near 5600 W. Mescal Street in reference to child pornography.

At about 7:20 p.m., as Phoenix police was entering the home, they reported hearing a single gunshot. Upon completing the search warrant Phoenix Police located two dead adults, one male and one female. Police did not located anyone else inside the home.

Glendale police assumed the investigation as the home was in its jurisdiction.

Police identified the deceased as Dan Ray Reynolds, 47 of Glendale, and Jessica Rochelle Garcia, 32 of Phoenix.

According to the release, both individuals suffered from self-inflicted gunshot wounds which the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed as the cause of death.

According to the Marciopa County Superior Court website, Reynolds was in court in 2002 for his involvement in sexual conduct with a minor in 1999, which he pleaded no contest. Earlier charges from 1993 were dismissed due to a prosecution motion. In 2014 he pleaded guilty to child abuse for a crime in 2012.

Police did not release any photos of the deceased.
