According to the police report, between Nov. 29, 2023 and March 20, Leticia Martinez Perez committed eight separate shopliftings throughout Phoenix and Glendale at Victoria’s Secret locations. The value of the stolen items totaled $14,207.20.
On Nov. 29, Jan. 10, Jan. 23, Jan. 26, Jan. 31, Feb. 1 and March 8, Perez allegedly stole items from the Victoria's Secret store in Desert Sky Mall, 7611 W. Thomas Road, Phoenix.
On March 20, Perez and an as-yet unidentified male accomplice were observed to have stolen $8,775.00 worth of product from a women's underwear stand at the Arrowhead Towne Center Victoria's Secret location, 7700 W. Bell Road in Glendale, and placed them into two separate duffle bags. They again exited the store without paying.
Police interviewed the man in April and learned of Perez's history of shoplifting.
According to the police report, Perez was interviewed regarding each of the eight separate instances and confirmed it was her in the photographs from each day. She also indicated her plan was to sell the items she stole in order to purchase drugs or a motel room for the night.
Often times, individuals on the street would ask her to shoplift specific items and she would make an effort to steal those items.
The police report lists her as homeless and she was arrested in the 8300 block of West McDowell Road in Phoenix.
