The crisis of COVID-19 has compounded the issue of poverty, hunger and food insecurities for students and residents of the Northwest Valley, a GCC news release from April 13 states. Volunteers from the college faculty and staff will distribute food boxes provided by St. Mary’s Food Bank

These food boxes will help provide for students and community members facing food-related needs. The process for the food distribution will limit the direct contact between volunteers and food recipients by following social distancing guidelines.

Vehicles must enter GCC on the northwest corner of campus at the 63rd Avenue entrance. Signage will direct visitors to the pick-up point. Vehicles will exit onto 59th Avenue via Vogel Avenue.

Participants are asked to arrive by automobile and will need to present a state-issued ID, such as a driver’s license.
