Gilbert police arrest three more people in teen violence incidents

Posted

The Gilbert Police Department made three arrests Jan. 24 related to two active investigations involving incidents of teen violence, officials said.

Kyler Renner, 18, was arrested in connection with both incidents, a Nov. 22, 2022, assault outside a residence near Higley and Riggs roads and a Dec. 3, 2022, assault at a Heritage District parking garage.

Additionally, Gage Garrison, 19, and a 17-year-old juvenille were arrested in connection with the parking garage incident.

Police have not yet announced the charges in either case.

In the November 2022 alleged assault,  which was reported to the Gilbert Police Department on Jan. 4, 2024, a juvenile victim reported he was assaulted outside of a residence near Higley and Riggs roads, police said.

In the garage incident,  an adult victim reported to police that he was assaulted by a group in a parking garage near 72 W. Vaughn Ave., police said.

That case was inactivated due to a lack of investigative leads until December 2023, when the Gilbert Police Department received a video of the alleged assault, police said. Photos of the assault were shared with the public on Jan. 11.

Both  investigations are ongoing. Charges and additional information will be provided when available, police said.

Both cases are unrelated to the Queen Creek Police Department's investigation of teenager Preston Lord's homicide in October, Gilbert police said.
