INDEPENDENT NEWSMEDIA
Phoenix Police Department detectives are now investigating a multiple-vehicle collision that killed a 67-year-old man.
They are searching for the driver of the vehicle suspected of causing the hit-and-run about 5:20 p.m. Sept. 26, police said.
When officers arrived at the crash scene, they found Enrique Cortez who was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Phoenix Fire Department personnel provided treatment to four others – two juveniles and two adults - all of whom were taken to hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives urge anyone with information about the crash to call Silent Witness, which is offering a $2,000 reward if the tip is used to make an arrest, according to a Phoenix Police Department release.
