A motorcyclist lost his life following an accident near Sun City.

Daniel Kugler, 46, died after the black Suzuki motorcycle he was riding on West Olive Avenue near North 103rd Avenue. He was transported to a hospital but was pronounced dead there.

The accident occurred about 8 p.m. June 9, according to Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office reports. Kugler was driving west on Olive Avenue and the number two lane. An SUV going east on Olive made a left turn to go north on 103rd Avenue and it struck the motorcycle. Kugler was ejected from the vehicle.

The driver of the SUV was evaluated and showed no signs of impairment, according to MCSO reports. Sheriff’s investigators did not believe excessive speed was a factor in the accident.

MCSO continues to investigate the incident to determine of traffic violations by either driver were factors.
