The number of weekly COVID-19 cases in Goodyear was 12,121 as of Friday July 16, compared with 11,897 weekly cases reported by the Arizona Department of Health Services at the end of June.
There are 567,670 total cases countywide since the pandemic began and 10,373 total deaths. Percent positivity is at 9%, which county health officials consider a "substantial spead." There are 77 cases per 100,000, according to data collected between July 4 and July 10.

As of July 13, Maricopa County health officials reported that 47% of all county residents and 53% of county residents 10 and older had received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
According to the website, 3,869,912 vaccine doses had been administered to Maricopa County residents. Of those, 1,957,953 were first dose, 1,865,852 were second dose and 46,107 were unknown.
In Goodyear 85395, 65.2% of the eligible population had received their first dose and 59.1% had received their second dose.
