Couples undergo plastic, cosmetic surgeries with Scottsdale surgeon

Posted

Dr. Joseph C. Berardi, internationally-recognized plastic surgeon in Scottsdale, has noticed an increase in a trend that includes more couples getting plastic surgeries together.

Couples are scheduling their procedures to take place at the same time as they work together to improve themselves and their relationships, according to a press release.

Many patients are local to Scottsdale, Paradise Valley and the Phoenix metropolitan area, but many couples also travel to Arizona to specifically visit Dr. Berardi, the release said, noting close to one-third of his patients travel to Scottsdale for him.

“We see more couples doing abdominoplasties, arm and thigh lifts. Women will normally add breast augmentations. Men may add gynecomastia,” said Dr. Berardi in a prepared statement.

He has performed more than 2,000 reconstructive and cosmetic surgeries, including everything from abdominoplasties, which are commonly known as “tummy tucks,” to gynecomastia procedures that reduce enlarged male breasts.

“We see women also getting brow, face, neck, bra strap and posterior belt lifts along with rhinoplasties. Men will also get arm lifts and liposuction procedures,” Dr. Berardi said.

More men have become more open to plastic and cosmetic surgeries, said the release, adding that the result is more men joining their wives and girlfriends in getting procedures that improve their physical appearance and self-esteem.
