City of Buckeye earns high ranking for bond rating

Posted

Buckeye has achieved an exceptional AA+ Municipal Bond Rating from S&P Global, the nation's premier bond rating agency.

Many factors are considered in the assessment of a bond rating, including the city's tax base, overall economic health, financial adaptability and the city’s management practices and policies.

This rating equips Buckeye with the ability to secure the most favorable interest rates possible when implementing essential capital projects. These projects play a pivotal role in advancing our community’s ongoing growth and development with critical infrastructure such as buildings, roads, parks and other assets that will benefit Buckeye for generations.

These ratings are also used to price bonds the city sells to fund bond packages, like the one the city will be asking voters to approve during the General Election in November 2024. Be on the lookout for more details on Bond Buckeye 2024 coming soon.
