Chandler teen and Hamilton High School student Olivia Lu won four medals at the 2024 American Artistic Roller Skating Championships in Union, Mo. in late June and early July.

Chandler City Council member Jane Poston and Mayor Kevin Hartke flanked Lu at the Aug. 12 Chandler City Council regular meeting as she displayed her medals and thanked all those who’ve supported and encouraged her.

Lu also serves on the Mayor’s Youth Commission.

Lu, who’s been roller skating since age 4, took gold in junior women solo dance and teen women domestic international solo dance, silver in youth women small circle figures-level 2 (ages 13-18) and bronze in junior/senior domestic women international solo dance.
