Celebration of life for Morristown firefighter after Peoria collision
Posted
Community members are gathering to celebrate the life of a Morristown firefighter who died from injuries in a December crash in Peoria.
Adrian Garrett Hawkins, a firefighter for the Circle City/Morristown Fire Department, died Dec. 17 following a collision Dec. 14 near 91st Avenue and Thunderbird Road. Peoria police at the time said a motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Thunderbird when a minivan traveling east on Thunderbird turned onto 91st in front of the motorcycle and collided with it.
Police said speed and impairment did not appear to be factors.
He leaves behind his girlfriend Krystal Dame and two children, ages 2 and 4, according to the fundraiser page.
Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 10 in Wickenburg and Morristown.
A celebration of life for Mr. Hawkins is 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11 at Dillon’s @ Western Trails Ranch, 37839 W. Grand Ave, Morristown, northwest of Wittmann.
