Smokus Pocus, a show blending comedy, magic, and cannabis, is coming to Phoenix.
Currently a Las Vegas residency at Planet 13, the world’s largest dispensary, Smokus Pocus will take place at 8 p.m. Friday, March 1 at Phoenix Center for the Arts, 1202 N. 3rd St., for one night only as part of a nationwide tour.
"People love to have their minds blown by magic and cannabis, so I figured, why not combine the two?" Ben Zabin, magician and creator of Smokus Pocus, shared in a press release.
Cannabis connoisseur Zabin has been a magician his whole life, performing in more than 1,500 magic shows for audiences.
After dropping out of college, he was working as a magician on cruise ships while simultaneously running an underground cannabis business. Zabin has since combined his passions for magic and cannabis to create Smokus Pocus, which he launched in 2021 and has toured extensively throughout North America, including sold-out extended runs in Brooklyn and Vegas.
