A $30 million high-end auto dealership is coming to the Arrowhead area.

Glendale City Council recentlhy approved a $2.4 million sale of a 13-acre parcel to West Valley RE LLC for the development of a full-service BMW auto sales dealership. The land is located north of Union Hills road, just west of Loop 101.

“I could not be more pleased to welcome Visionary Auto Group to Glendale,” said Councilwoman Lauren Tolmachoff, whose Cholla District includes the site. “We will continue to move Glendale forward by developing and maintaining good business partnerships that create jobs and generate revenue.”

Given the opportunity of selling the property for the same price that the city paid for it to attract this type of development and facilitate capital investment is consistent with the city’s goal of being a good partner, said City Manager Kevin Phelps.

The new dealership operated by Visionary Auto Group expects to employ up to 200 people and is scheduled to break ground this summer and open for business June 2018.
