Banner Children’s community clinics and its HealthMobile are offering free medical appointments for uninsured youth in metropolitan Phoenix.

According to a press release, anyone under 18, regardless of socioeconomic status, is able to take advantage of free medical services including sick visits, follow-up care, well-child exams, health education, COVID tests, sports and camp physicals including eye and ear exams, medical consultations, vaccines and more.

These services are meant to cater to healthcare needs of children in low-income areas, with a bilingual medical team available at all locations, according to the press release.

“By providing no-cost medical appointments at the community clinics and the mobile unit, we hope to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of Arizona’s uninsured children,” said Lynne Martin, director of Banner Children’s HealthMobile and Community Clinics.

The services are available at Banner Children community clinics, one of which is at 564 W. 9th Place, Suite 2 in Mesa, open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Mondays and 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The other clinic is located at 9401 W. Garfield Road in Tolleson, and is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The services can also be used by the HealthMobile, which alternates its location every other Tuesday between the Banner Health Center at 17900 N Porter Road in Maricopa (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and at the Banner Ironwood Medical Center at 37000 N. Gantzel Road in San Tan Valley (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

“Bringing health care to our most vulnerable young patients where they live is just one of the ways that Banner is working to make childhood well and wonderful, and it wouldn’t be possible without the support of generous donors to the Banner Health Foundation,” said Andy Petersen, foundation president and chief executive officer.

Appointments can be scheduled at 480-412-6344. For more information about community clinics and the HealthMobile, visit bannerhealth.com/services/pediatrics/resources-programs/community-clinics-healthmobile.
