Andrew: Weakened Russia now a target for China

Posted

The attack on the Ukraine by Russia has raised concerns about China invading Taiwan.

Thus far, Russia has proven one thing: that it’s military is inept and incompetent. It’s conventional forces barely a match for the Ukraine’s and certainly no match for NATO.

Why then should China settle for “small potatoes” by attacking Taiwan when they can take eastern Russia with comparative ease? While Taiwan has been claimed to be Chinese land, so also have the Chinese claimed a large portion of eastern Russia.

That claim goes way back to the 19th century. Yes, in 1860 Russia annexed Vladivostok, which formerly was the Qing dynasty’s Manchurian homeland.

Russia is weak and will be getting weaker. Good time for the Chi-Coms to take back a large chunk of Putin’s empire.
