Allegiant adding nonstop service between Gateway Airport and San Diego
Posted
Allegiant Air announced 34 new nonstop routes, including Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport to San Diego International Airport beginning May 27.
To celebrate its new routes, announced on on Feb. 9, Allegiant is offering one-way fares to the destinations for as low as $39, according to a release.
“As summer approaches, we expect a lot of pent-up demand for travel, especially for places where people can hike, fish, camp or visit the beach,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant’s senior vice president of revenue, in the release. “With this expansion, we’ve added even more service to destinations known for their outdoor appeal. Now, with Allegiant’s low-cost, nonstop service, travelers will have easy, affordable access to the cities they want to visit.”
Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, 6033 S. Sossaman Road in Mesa, is owned and operated by the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority. PMGAA consists of representation from Mesa, Apache Junction, Queen Creek, Gilbert, Gila River Indian Community and Phoenix.
