A two-day holiday marketplace showcasing the creative talents of Civitan Foundation’s members with disabilities is coming this week.
The Civitan Foundation’s 4th Annual Holiday Marketplace goes from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16 and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17. The event takes place at Civitan Village, 12635 N. 42nd St., Suite 7601, in Phoenix.
Look for a collection of unique gifts, art pieces, handcrafted treasures, vintage finds, and treats – all made or refurbished, and sold by Civitan Foundation members. Civitan-owned vendors participating in the market include Flerish Thrift + Gift, Art on the Edge and The Cook-er-y.
Civitan’s rock band, Skyskraper, and the Civitones Choir will perform holiday tunes as well as original songs.
Event proceeds provide meaningful job opportunities and skills training for members, and supports additional programs and services that empower each member’s independence.
