Scottsdale’s beat the heat outreach program accepting donations

The City of Scottsdale is now taking donations for its beat the heat program.

You can bring summer relief to low-income, homebound and isolated seniors by donating to the Beat the Heat outreach program. Monetary and in-kind donations are being accepted through Friday, May 17. Monetary donations can be made online through Scottsdale Community Partners, and in-kind donations can be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Friday at Via Linda Senior Center at 10440 E. Via Linda.

Items needed include:

• Brita Water Pitchers & Filters.
• Reusable Water Bottles.
• Nutritional Supplement Drinks.
• Healthy Individually Snacks.
• Books of Forever Stamps.
• Fry’s Gift Card worth $35.
• Full Size Hygiene Items.
