Scottsdale Society of Women Writers slate next meeting, speaker

The Scottsdale Society of Women Writers will meet 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, at the Panera Bread at Gainey Village, 8777 N. Scottsdale Road, No. 302.

Speaker is Deborah J. Ledford, author of the Eva “Lightning Dance” Duran Series, including “Redemption” and “Havoc,” set in Taos, New Mexico. Part Eastern Band Cherokee, Ledford is a Hillerman Sky Award finalist and two-time Anthony Award finalist for Best Audiobooks “Crescendo” and “Causing Chaos” from her Smoky Mountain Inquest Series set in the great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina.

She plans to discuss details about her research and information about her current release. Those attending can also ask her questions about her psychological suspense series and her time as a screenwriter. Ledford lives in Phoenix with her husband and the formidable Ausky.
