The Cave Creek Unified School District Governing Board recently approved hiring Dr. Patty Jensen as an elementary leadership executive director and Nancy Scott as secondary leadership executive director.

They were named in the leadership roles at the March 8 Governing Board meeting. Both are begining their new positions on July 1, according to a press release, detailing the educators' experience and background.

Dr. Jensen, who is the Lone Mountain Elementary School principal, has served as an elementary school principal for the past eight years in Texas and Arizona. She taught at the elementary and high school levels, served as a district bilingual/ESL coordinator, and as an assistant principal before her years as principal.

She lives in Cave Creek with her husband and their three girls who attend Lone Mountain, the release said.

Ms. Scott, who is the director of CTE and secondary curriculum in the Queen Creek Unified School District, has been in education for 20 years. During her time as an educator she has been an English and social studies teacher secondary teacher, and has experience from working with Pre-K to principal.

She and her husband Patrick have two fur babies, “Reina” and “Izzy,” the release added.
