This spring, the Queen Creek Town Council has been honoring 15 Star Students at its regular meetings.
The students recognized were deemed “helpful and considerate of others while demonstrating good citizenship, service and integrity,” according to a town press release.
Each school in Queen Creek was invited to nominate one student. The following students were presented with their awards during the April 3, 17, and May 1 council meetings:

Benson Cook, Benjamin Franklin Charter School - Crismon Campus
Sterling Johnson, Benjamin Franklin Charter School - Power Campus
Camden Howcroft, Heritage Academy
Hannah Droeg, Casteel High School
Presley Taylor, Queen Creek Elementary
Bowman Sunderhaus, Jack Barnes Elementary
Parker Sutley, Frances Brandon Pickett Elementary
Madeline Gough, Faith Mather Sossaman Elementary
Jaxson Davis, Katherine Mecham Barney Elementary
Amni Perez, Desert Mountain Elementary
Roger Bell, Queen Creek Virtual Academy – High School
Pierce Rothmeyer, Queen Creek Virtual Academy - High School

Each star student received a gift card to a local ice cream shop, courtesy of donations from Bahama Bucks, Cold Stone Creamery, Dairy Queen, Jeremiah’s Italian Ice and Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt.
