Phoenix PD needs help identifying man found dead on railroad tracks

Phoenix Police Department detectives are working to identify the remains of a man found Aug. 17 by railroad employees on tracks near 20th and Jackson streets.

Police said it does not appear the man was involved in a collision with a train. The Office of the Medical Examiner has the victim’s remains, and authorities are waiting for its findings.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Phoenix Police Department or Silent Witness.
