Amid a national labor shortage, MEB Management Services (MEB) found a unique way to ensure its residents are taken care of and its current employees aren’t overworked to fill in the employment gaps.
By incorporating cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) technology, according to a press release, MEB has saved more than 3,000 team member hours while effortlessly helping keep apartment managers and their residents happy.
In early 2022, MEB partnered with Elise AI (formally known as Meet Elise) to stay up to date on emerging technology and to combat labor shortages at many of its properties across Arizona and the Southwest.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, MEB, like many other companies, adapted to its ever-fluctuating employee relationships. MEB believes it is crucial to support their staff, a press release stated, especially those that work from home or take time off.
“Creating a work-life balance is very important for MEB’s company culture,” Mark Schilling, executive vice president and director of operations, said in the release. “By using AI technology, we can still do our jobs effectively but not overwork our employees to their breaking point. It a win for the MEB but it also helps our residents by offering them 24/7 access to service.”
Elise AI is one of the most advanced multifamily AI assistants. It offers around-the-clock communication by answering emails, texts and calls. Its advanced, lifelike persona also helps coordinate prospective resident tours.
With over 23,000 properties in the Southwest, MEB generally has hundreds of tours scheduled each day and without Elise AI, it takes a large amount of time and effort from the management team to coordinate and conduct tours.
After using Elise AI for just a few months over 1,800 tours have been scheduled. This allows employees to spend more time with prospective residents during in-person tours and provide support to its current residents at the properties.
“This is a valuable, necessary tool for our multifamily clients like MEB,” Rebecca Kravitz, enterprise account executive of Elise AI, said in the release. “Our hope is it will continue to be a valuable tool beyond the labor shortage. We believe Elise AI is an invaluable asset to help streamline processes and save valuable time.”
Elise AI is an integral part of MEB’s ethical technology initiatives. The focus is to only use technology that protects resident data. While many other multifamily organizations provide AI support, there are few that offer the highest level of security and protection as Elise AI.
