A woman died following a collision this week near 36th and Dunlap avenues, Phoenix police said.

The crash occurred just before 11 p.m. Sept. 9 when a woman, who has not been identified, was struck by a car as she was attempting to cross Dunlap outside of marked crosswalks, police said.

She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the car, which was headed west on Dunlap, stayed at the scene and did not show any signs of intoxication, police said.
