North Phoenix crash kills pedestrian

A man is dead following a collision near 17600 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix police said Monday.

Phoenix Police Vehicular Crimes detectives are investigating the crash that occurred about 10:55 p.m. Sept. 27.

Police found a pedestrian suffering from serious injuries, and he was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Preliminary information suggests the man, who has not been identified, was crossing Cave Creek Road when he was hit by a vehicle. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
