The main campus of Arizona Autism Charter Schools, in Phoenix, is among the schools named as a grant semifinalist.

Building Hope, a nonprofit specializing in charter school facilities, financing, and services, is hosting its third annual Building Hope IMPACT Grants. A total of $160,000 in grants will be awarded across four categories: Community Engagement, Educational Innovation, Student Empowerment, and the S. Joseph Bruno Charter School Leadership Award.

Arizona Autism Charter Schools’ main campus, located at 4125 N. 14th St., which serves grades four through six, is a semifinalist for the S. Joseph Bruno Charter Leadership Award.

The finalists will be announced in March and will receive an expense-paid trip to Building Hope’s 3rd Annual Summit, open to charter leaders nationwide in April in Miami, Florida. Finalists will present a 10-minute IMPACT talk in-person as their final round.

The 2024 semifinalists represent 14 different states and U.S. territories, and also include seven previous semifinalists and one previous honorable mention winner.

"This year’s IMPACT Grant applicants set a powerful example of dedication to innovation and excellence in K-12 public education across our country, Building Hope President and CEO Bill Hansen shared in a press release.

Arizona Autism Charter Schools also has a West Valley campus in Peoria, located at 11039 W. Olive Ave., and serves K-5 students.
