Phoenix police are searching for the person who shot two men, killing one, after an altercation at a construction site Sunday near 3900 East Thomas Road.
Alan David Whitworth, 48, died and a 19-year-old man is in critical condition after both were shot multiple times, including when they were on ground, police stated in a release.
Officers were called to the scene about 8 a.m. Sept. 1 and found Whitworth dead. The other victim was taken to a hospital, rushed into surgery and might not survive, police said.
Early information indicates the victims were working on repairing a fence when they were confronted by the suspect.
Investigators ask anyone with photos or video or those who knows who the suspect is to contact Phoenix police or anonymously by calling Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO with any tips.
