Smith goes full circle for Centennial volleyball

4-year varsity starter leads Coyotes in playoffs

Raeli Smith’s four-year Centennial volleyball career has come full circle, as has the Coyotes’ program.

Smith was a regular member of the rotation as a freshman, serving as a second middle blocker. She played alongside seniors and four-year varsity starters Ashley Lifgren and Nyjha Marcelin.

That 2019 season was the last for head coach Cari Bauer, and her replacement, Becca Ellis, coached the next two seasons. This year Centennial alum Reagan Leonard returned to coach the Coyotes. She was a senior libero on the 2016 state 5A champions — which also featured first-year head coach Bauer and freshmen starters Lifgren and Marcelin.
