Second Saturdays is Back Sept. 12
Posted
Another edition of Virtual Second Saturdays is Saturday, Sept. 12 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
All Peoria businesses are welcome to participate in the online festival at no cost.
This free, virtual event is a way for the city to support small businesses and give residents a chance to do the same.
Tune into www.facebook.com/Peoria2ndSaturdays to hear local bands and musicians, watch cooking demonstrations, and learn more about various Peoria businesses.
The Peoria special events and arts team launched 2nd Saturdays in the fall of 2019 as a series of free, family-friendly events showcasing local dining and live entertainment.
These events began in Old Town Peoria, a developing center for culture and the arts which is centrally located and home to numerous other events and programming.
In early 2020, 2nd Saturdays switched to an online format in an effort to reduce exposure to COVID-19 and mitigate the risk to the community.
City officials said they are committed to the health and safety of their residents. The city continues to monitor COVID-19 updates from federal and local authorities.
