Peoria Unified offers online session for potential teachers

People seeking a career in teaching are welcome to take part in a Peoria Unified School District virtual teacher info session beginning at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 12.

Peoria Unified is looking for those who are enthusiastic about making an impact on future generations. Interested individuals may register for the virtual session at: https://bit.ly/3Vgr8xO and will be sent a link to join the event.

District leaders, teachers and parents will speak about why they chose Peoria Unified. A panel discussion featuring an instructional coach and new teacher will take place.

Participants will be introduced to the district’s Chief Personnel Officer Laura Vesley and Chief Academic Support Officer Teresa Hernandez. Following the Virtual Teacher Info Session, individuals will be encouraged to view open positions at www.peoriaunified.org/careers and will receive a link to set up interviews with school principals.

Peoria Unified has openings in all grade levels and special areas across its 43 schools. The district offers benefits, state retirement eligibility, student loan forgiveness and professional growth opportunities.
