Peoria Police Citizens’ Academy Alumni celebrate fundraiser at Applebee's

Peoria Police Citizens’ Academy Alumni held a fundraiser March 23 at Applebee’s, 8001 W. Bell Road.

Applebee’s donated 50% of all sales to the PPCAA.

PPCAA is extremely grateful to the Applebee’s team for their generosity and willingness to support heroines and heroes in blue, as well as all the people who supported the event. according to a news release.

PPCAA would also like to thank the following businesses for their generous donations to a silent auction:

The mission of PPCAA is to foster and promote a partnership among the community, the alumni, and the Peoria Police Department to aid in providing a safe and secure environment for Peoria Police officers and the residents they serve and protect.

PPCAA is a charitable, fundraising organization that supports the mission of the Peoria Police Department and the Peoria Police Citizens' Academy.

PPCAA volunteers are passionate about supporting law enforcement men and women and promoting positive community relations.

The organization fosters increased awareness regarding operations and practices of the Peoria Police Department.

The organization also helps to coordinate efforts among the PPCAA, the Peoria Police Department and the community, as well as pursues a wide range of resources such as grants, contributions, donations, etc., to support these efforts.

Past donations have provided the Peoria Police Department a bomb dog, electronic bikes, gym equipment, DUI simulator and a drone.
