Peoria fair will connect residents with employment, health resources

Peoria’s main library, along with the city's department of neighborhood and human services, will host Explore the Library Resource Fair this weekend.

The event includes activities and services, giveaways and raffles and the opportunity to connect with many resources on employment, utility assistance, healthcare, behavioral and mental health, childcare and more.

Health screenings will be provided by licensed healthcare professionals.

The Fair goes from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10 at the library, 8463 W. Monroe St.

Residents looking for a new job can pick out business outfits for the next interview through the Dress for Success mobile unit. Reserve your tailored career kit through this registration link: https://www.tfaforms.com/5019288?dfsid=a1PURO.

Free haircuts will be offered through the ClipDart Giveback program. Attendees can also have their resume reviewed, get a professional portrait, and participate in mock interviews.

Other organizations taking part in the resource fair include Adelante Healthcare, Area Agency on Aging, Autism Society of Greater Phoenix, Animals and Humans in Disaster, Bloom365, Chicanos por la Causa, Cognosante, La Frontera EMPACT, Phoenix Children's Hospital, Peoria Youth Advisory Board, AM/PM, notMYkid, Aurora Behavioral Health, International Rescue Committee, HART Pantry, Maricopa County Human Services Department, Team4Kids, St. Mary’s Skill Center and the Peoria Unified School District Family Resource Center.

The Fair is free and open to all ages.
