Peoria city facilities to close for Thanksgiving

City offices, facilities, both Peoria libraries, and the Peoria Community Center will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 25 and Friday, Nov. 26 in observance of Thanksgiving.
The Rio Vista Recreation Center will be closed on Thursday but will be open from 5 a.m. - 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 26.
All city parks, including the new Paloma Community Park, will be open for the holiday. Also, the Thanksgiving holiday will not affect the Monday and Tuesday trash pickup service. Thursday, Nov. 25 pickup will move to Friday, Nov. 26. Friday, Nov. 26 pickup will move to Saturday, Nov. 27.
