Montessori Academy invites the community to its annual fundraising gala this year April 13.
The Gala Fiesta will have catering by Barrio Queen, margaritas and beers by Pour Masters Bar Service, music by Mariachi Valle Del Sol, a silent auction and raffle prizes.
“We’d like as many people to attend as possible, but we are also looking for community businesses that would like to sponsor the event or donate items/services to gain exposure for their business,” Communications Coordinator Grace Wood stated in an email to the Independent.
Guests will have a chance to hear from alumni speakers and to bid on the silent auction class baskets as well as other items and services. This event is only for adults, so parents should coordinate childcare in advance.
More donations for the silent auction are needed, according to a Montessori Academy newsletter. Some classroom donation baskets that are being assembled for the silent auction are also in need of additional items. Anyone can contribute.
The gala is a great way for businesses in any industry to gain exposure, the newsletter stated. Many businesses have benefitted from donating to the fundraiser. Contributions are tax-deductible because the school is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Montessori Academy is also seeking sponsors and volunteers for the event o help with setup, registration and checkouts and to help the school retain income from the fundraiser, which goes toward campus facility improvements. Cash, checks and credit cards are all accepted. Sponsors will be thanked on the school website, the Parents of Montessori Academy Facebook page, and during the event. Donate by submitting a form to the email office.manager@azma.academy or the front office.
Volunteer slots are 30 minutes, allowing plenty of time to fully enjoy this event.
