Savannah Bananas bring joy to Scottsdale families
Miracle League hosts entertaining baseball game

The Miracle League of Arizona hosted a special baseball event with the Savannah Bananas on Saturday, Feb. 17.
The Miracle League of Arizona is a non-profit organization in North Scottsdale dedicated to providing a safe, successful and enjoyable baseball experience for children, teens and adults with disabilities or special health care needs.
The Savannah Bananas and Party Animals baseball teams spent the weekend in Arizona as part of their 2024 Banana Ball World Tour. Originally from Savannah, Ga., the Bananas advertise themselves on their website as the most entertaining game of baseball.
Players perform choreographed dances every game, and the Bananas are the only baseball team to play in kilts. The teams are known for scoring celebrations that range from running through the crowd to performing fully choreographed country line dances.
The Bananas and Party Animals teams played at the Miracle League of Arizona stadium for the first time, and the first pitch was knocked out of the park.
“We were honored to host members of the Savannah Bananas at our Miracle League stadium,” Miracle League Program Director Drew Soicher said in a press release. “They are the toughest ticket to buy in baseball, and their presence undoubtedly made this day even more memorable for our players and families. We are grateful for the support and enthusiasm shown by the Savannah Bananas and Party Animals in making this event possible.”
