The Ritz-Carlton Paradise Valley, The Palmeraie revealed March 27 during an exclusive tour of the property that the signature restaurant at the resort will be Mott 32, making it the first location of the globally revered Chinese restaurant brand in Arizona.

Renowned for its innovative approach to traditional Chinese cuisine and exquisite dining experiences, Mott 32 Scottsdale is slated to open alongside the resort, according to a press release. It promises to captivate diners with its rich heritage, unparalleled service and culinary excellence.

Serving lunch and dinner daily, the 4,600-square-foot restaurant will include a vast 4,100-square-foot outdoor patio with pool and mountain views. Guests can expect traditional Cantonese dishes with some Beijing and Szechuan influences, prepared using the latest in modern and innovative cooking techniques from around the world, including the signature 42-day apple wood roasted Peking duck expertly carved for patrons tableside, barbecue pluma Iberico pork glazed with yellow mountain honey and other delicacies. An expansive dim sum selection will feature steamed, fried and baked dumplings, including the signature soft quail egg, cleverly placed inside an Iberico pork siu mai with black truffle.

“We are excited to bring Mott 32’s unique and exquisite style to The Ritz-Carlton Paradise Valley,” Xuan Mu, founder of Mott 32, said in the release. “This partnership is the perfect collaboration between luxury, opulence and tradition coming together to create a sense of community that Mott 32 is renowned for. We are excited to introduce our social fine-dining style to the region.”

The Ritz-Carlton Paradise Valley, The Palmeraie location marks only the second stateside venture for the prestigious restaurant brand, following its United States debut at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas in 2019. Mott 32 has eight locations worldwide, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Seoul, Cebu, Vancouver and soon-to-open Toronto.

“Scottsdale’s reputation for luxury and discerning tastes aligns perfectly with the Mott 32 experience,” Malcolm Wood, founder of Mott 32, said in the release. “The Ritz-Carlton Paradise Valley provides an unparalleled canvas for us to showcase the essence of Mott 32 — a blend of tradition, innovation and uncompromising quality. We’re excited to embark on this culinary journey and welcome guests to experience our signature flavors and unmatched hospitality.”

The restaurant’s interiors will reflect a harmonious fusion of traditional Chinese aesthetics and contemporary elegance, creating an inviting ambiance for diners.

Founded by the Maximal Concepts group, Mott 32 has garnered international acclaim, boasting an array of prestigious awards and widespread recognition for its distinctive blend of traditional flavors and contemporary flair. Created in Hong Kong, Mott 32 pays homage to 32 Mott Street in New York, where the city’s first Chinese convenience store opened in 1891, according to the release.

Developed by Five Star Development, The Ritz-Carlton Paradise Valley, The Palmeraie is the crown jewel within the $2 billion master-planned community that spans 122 acres in the most affluent and sought-after area in Arizona, the release stated. Spread over approximately 18 acres, the resort comprises 215 rooms connected by quiet, lush courtyard gardens and shaded walkways — evoking a sense of a village. The lobby, situated above the rest of the hotel overlooking Camelback Mountain, will greet guests with a water feature cascading down through the property to a world-class spa. The main pool, spanning nearly 400 feet, will be one of the longest resort pool experiences in North America.

Adjacent to the resort and connected by a palm-tree-lined walking path is the high-end, mixed-use retail and restaurant district of The Palmeraie. Home to more than 60 luxury and specialty boutiques as part of the first phase, The Palmeraie will also incorporate a variety of dining destinations led by best-in-class local and international chefs.

The Ritz-Carlton Paradise Valley, The Palmeraie is expected to be substantially completed by the end of the year, the release stated. For more information about The Ritz-Carlton Paradise Valley, The Palmeraie, visit RCPVLuxury.com. For more on Mott 32, visit mott32.com.
