Friedman: Appalled at the current state of local politics

I have watched the political scene as a resident of Paradise Valley for 60 years. Never have I been so appalled at the scurrilous, vicious and personal attacks leveled at one of the candidates for mayor, Anna Thomasson.

Email newsletters, baseless attacks in letters to members of the PV Women’s Association and paid political advertising have been the tools of her vitriol. While legitimate debate is the bulwark of our Constitution, this ad hominem onslaught is totally unwarranted. The unnamed councilperson responsible should be ashamed of herself.
