Childhelp Arizona, the nonprofit advocating for abused and neglected children, will host its 17th annual Childhelp Wings Fashion Show & Luncheon 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, at Chateau Luxe, 1175 E. Lone Cactus Drive, Phoenix.

From its origins as a mother-daughter initiative, under the leadership of Paradise Valley resident and Founding Mother Carol Hebets, Childhelp Wings has evolved into a unifying force, bringing together volunteers and youth organizations throughout the community to drive impactful service projects and fundraisers in support of Childhelp, according to a press release. Guided by event chairs, Ivy Ciolli, Brooklyn Ciolli, Monique Hampton, and Harper Hampton, this event harnesses their shared dedication to philanthropy and flair for fashion.

“Childhelp’s mission has always been near and dear to my heart,” Hebets said in the release. “The Childhelp Wings Fashion Show is an opportunity to increase awareness of the child abuse epidemic, while raising resources critical to treatment and prevention.”

Under the theme of “Pinwheels For a Purpose,” this year’s event promises a showcase of colorful children’s fashion. Guests will enjoy an array of attractions, including a celebrity-studded runway, live and silent auctions, raffle prizes, and more. Highlighting the latest fashion trends, the show will unveil ensembles from renowned fashion retailers such as Basically Bows & Bowties, Garage Boutique, Apricot Lane Boutique, and Carter’s Men’s Clothing.

Making their way down the runway will be 50 child models with a few surprise celebrities, notably Maks Chmerkovskiy and his son Shai.

Celebrity Childhelp Ambassador and Supermodel Kim Alexis, a longtime supporter of Childhelp Wings, will lend her talents as emcee of the event, and will introduce this year’s awardees who will be honored for their commitment to serving at-risk children.

It is estimated that five children die each day from abuse and neglect in the United States, and for 65 years, Childhelp has worked to combat this epidemic, with a focus on meeting the physical, emotional, educational and spiritual needs of children, the release stated. Through ifesaving programs and services, Childhelp has served over 12 million children nationwide.
