Registration open for Gilbert Glow Run

Tickets are on sale now for the Gilbert Glow Run on Oct. 21, a night event designed for people of all ages and athletic abilities filled with glow sticks, black lights, strobes and music. 

The 2-mile course at Freestone Park, 1045 E. Juniper Ave., Gilbert, is not timed and is open to experienced runners and first-time participants. 

The course has directional help along the route, with glowing markers and volunteers lighting the way. The course also includes bubbles, glow powder, laser lights and a foam party at the finish line among the attractions. 

Registration is available online and required for everyone who will be participating. The price is $25 through Sept. 30 and $35 thereafter. No same-day registration is available. Tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable and must be used at the listed time. 

Waves of runners will be released every 15 minutes starting 6 p.m. through 7:30 p.m. There will be no on-site storage for personal belongings. 

Packet pick-up will take place from 2-6 p.m. Oct. 20 at 90 E. Civic Center Drive, Gilbert. Packet pick-up is required to obtain the race entry glow bracelet to be worn the day of the event, an event T-shirt and other run information. 

Participants are advised that the course is not a paved route and includes a variety of uneven surfaces with minimal lighting.  

Strollers are not permitted. Children under 8 years old must run with a registered adult. Children 2 years of age or younger participating on foot or being carried are free with a paid adult. A waiver must be filled out by a parent/guardian for children ages 2 or under during packet pickup. Pets and alcohol are not allowed.
