Lincoln Property Company unveils new amenity plan for Mesa office project

The Lincoln Property Co. unveiled a new amenity plan for office space at Union Building One in Mesa’s Riverview District.

Union Building One is a 238,348-square-foot, four-story building designed to attract Fortune 500-level companies. The building by Cubs Way and Riverview Auto Drive was developed during the pandemic for a national credit tenant but ended up becoming unused.

“Union was delivered in the middle of the pandemic. It was pre-leased to a national credit tenant, but that entity was bought out and its team went fully remote, negating their need for this space,” said Lincoln Senior Vice President John Orsak. “It’s a common COVID story that was challenging at the time but has become nothing but opportunity.”

The project will be ready this fall and will be designed by award-winning interior architect McCarthy Nordburg. Amenities include “The Clubhouse,” which consists of a main lounge, conference center, kitchen and bar areas as well as a golf simulator. The project also features two speculative office suites.

The design of The Clubhouse will consist of paneled walls, wood floors, gold accents, and bold fabrics reminiscent of a golf club.

“Union’s expanded amenity package includes everything modern occupiers are asking for — plus an on-site golf simulator,” said Lincoln Director of Real Estate Nick Nudo. “We joke that if you lease space at Union it will take five strokes off of your handicap, but the approach of mixing premier workspaces with opportunities to relax and recharge is the future of the corporate office landscape.”
