Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly is one of as many as 10 Democrats who may be in the discussion to be a potential running mate for Vice President Kamala Harris as the party fast-tracks its way through a sprint nomination process.
Kelly, first elected to the Senate in 2020 to fill out the remainder of Republican Sen. John McCain's term and then again in 2022 for a full six-year term, is on the short list of people being vetted, according to multiple media reports.
The 60-year-old senator, who is married to former Arizona Rep. Gabby Giffords, is a former Navy aviator and astronaut who has built an image as a moderate in the state that has drawn wide appeal.

Others that are being considered, according to reports, include Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro,
