Entertainment set for Arizona Celebration of Freedom in Mesa on July 4

The Arizona Celebration of Freedom on July 4 in Mesa will not only celebrate America’s independence, but it will also feature two outdoor stages for entertainment as well as various programming both outside and inside the Mesa Convention Center.

Activities include Stage America, which will be on the grass outside Mesa Convention Center, 263 N. Center St. It will feature music from Bayou Bandits. There will be an annual Salute to America on stage at 9:20 p.m. followed by a 9:30 p.m. fireworks display.

The Mesa Ampitheatre will host Revolutionary War reenactments courtesy of We Make History at 6:45 p.m., 7:45 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. Music will be performed between reenactments by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Arizona Band.

Outdoors, there will be various military vehicles on display as well as a Patriotic Super Stuns Show with performances at 6:30 p.m., 7:20 p.m. and 8:10 p.m.

Featured inside the convention center are programs such as the Let Freedom Ring Laser Light Show at 7 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.

There is also the Fallen Soldier Memorial which honors fallen Arizona veterans from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. There will be presentations of historic American flags at 6:30 p.m., 7:15 p.m., 8 p.m. and 8:45 p.m.
