Rotary Club of Goodyear PebbleCreek to award five $1,000 scholarships to outstanding Southwest Valley students

Rotary Club of Goodyear PebbleCreek is accepting applications from Southwest Valley students interested in vying for one of five $1,000 scholarships it plans to award to graduating seniors this year.
One outstanding senior from Agua Fria, Desert Edge, Estrella Foothills, Millennium and Verrado high schools will be awarded a scholarship, according to a release.
Students have until midnight Wednesday, April 14, to submit their applications here.
To qualify, students must have a minimum unweighted grade point average of 2.5, a minimum 175 documented community service hours throughout their high school careers and have participated in at least two clubs or sports.
Students who need assistance with the application process may email Dr. Betsy Hargrove, club Vocational Service Committee chairwoman, at bhargro@chooseAESD.org or call her at 623-734-8675.
Scholarship recipients will be notified by Wednesday, April 28, and will be invited to attend the club’s meeting at 7 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, with a guest to be recognized.
