Goodyear seeks resident input in 2035 General Plan

Residents will have three in-person opportunities to share input

Posted

Goodyear residents are invited to attend the second round of community workshops for information and to get involved with the city’s 2035 general plan, which will help guide the city’s direction in the coming decades.

General plans are updated, adopted and ratified by voters every 10 years — the current general plan was adopted back in 2014 and the 2035 plan will come before voters in 2024.

There will be three opportunities to attend the community workshop. The information presented in the three meetings is the same.

Round 2 community workshop dates:

  • Aug. 16, 2022, 5-7 p.m. Estrella Foothills High School  — 13033 Estrella Parkway
  • Aug. 17, 2022, 5-7 p.m. Mabel Padgett Elementary School — 420 Estrella Parkway
  • Aug. 18, 2022, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Western Sky Middle School, media center— 4095 N. 144th Ave.

If you missed the first community workshop, you can participate virtually through the month of August.

Residents also have the option of participating in the city’s interactive map, which allows users to comment on parts of the city they would like to see improved, where they’d like to see growth, places they’d like to preserve as well as general comments. Click here and scroll to ‘community mapping activity' to get started.
