Goodyear concert, art exhibit celebrate ‘African American Experience’

The Georgia T. Lord Library is currently exhibiting "Vision & Sound: An African American Experience."

The program creates an educational experience and environment that broadens the understanding and appreciation of African American art. The display runs through March 26.

In addition to the art show, the Vision & Sound concert featuring live music by The Franchise Band will take place 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4 at Goodyear Civic Square Park. The afternoon will be filled with music, artist demonstrations, food trucks and more.

Both the art exhibit and concert take place at 1900 N. Civic Square.
