Midwestern University held two virtual commencement ceremonies on Aug. 28 to celebrate 350 graduates from the College of Health Sciences.

Graduates from the Glendale campus, at 19555 N. 59th Ave., and the Downers Grove, Illinois, campus earned a variety of professional degrees and will join the health care field as clinical psychologists, physician assistants, occupational therapists, and nurse anesthesiologists.

“Graduation is such a significant part in the lives of our students. It is the culmination of their hard work to get admitted into one of our professional programs and the hard work they’ve done to complete their studies,” Midwestern president and CEO Kathleen H. Goeppinger stated in a news release. “It represents years of giving service to the community, service to each other, and service to so many different organizations and clubs. Midwestern University is grateful for our wonderful students who will soon become part of the healthcare team.”

Degrees awarded at the ceremony include: Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.); Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology (M.A.); Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies (M.M.S.); Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (D.N.A.P.); Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia (M.S.); and Master of Occupational Therapy (M.O.T.).

The graduates join nearly 28,000 Midwestern University alumni working in leading hospitals, clinics, private practices, laboratories, pharmacies, and healthcare facilities across the U.S.
